Rehabilitation for the Differently Abled

The main aim of the Rehabilitation for the differently Abled   is developing the emotional, social and intellectual skills of physically and mentally challenged people and children who have to live, learn and work in the community.

The four network centers intend to focus on the following program:
  • Amalarakkini Blind School – Susainagar, Tamilnadu
  • Home for Physically Challenged – Ramnad, Tamilnadu
  • Special School for MC – Paramakudy, Tamilnadu
  • CURE – Mekkalur, Tamilnadu

The program envisages appropriate responses to the needs of physically and mentally challenged people through specialised rehabilitation services that are meant for wellbeing. The aim is to make them independent as much as possible so that they can leas their life effectively on their own.

Beneficiaries are:

  • Differently Abled
  • People with mental illness

Summary of the strategies / Activities include the following:​

Complete residential care with quality service

Functional skills and craft training

Therapeutic services like youga physiotherapy , counselling

Sports and games, cultural competitions, study tour, band set etc.

Conducts parents seminar and staff meeting to make them aware of the condition of children

Special training to staff
